Shield of Baal - Part III: Carnifex and Warriors



    The Sinclair Memorial Home for Incurable Tyrants is back online. Even hard-drive crashes and system failures can't keep a miniature gamer away from his painting and gaming!

   Today I present the next wave of my Shield of Baal Tyranid force... the Beast of Phodia and the Phodian Hive Warriors.

Great big beasties!

   For this Carnifex and Tyranid Warriors I've used the same Army Painter paints and colour patterns as I did on my Genestealers. Whereas it looked good on the Genestealers, I think it really stands out with these larger creatures, especially because the large armoured chitin plates give me a place to paint dark green, to contrast the lighter colours of the under-parts.

   All in all I'm really happy with how these are turning out. I only have the Spawn of Cryptus himself to add to the mix and my Phodian Annihilation Swarm will be done. Here's how the force stands now, ready for the next mission... Storm of Blood!
